The Molotovs
RockNRoll/Post-Punk/Indie trio The Molotovs are fast gaining a reputation in London and beyond for their high energy, explosive performances that leave nothing in the dressing room. Arguably the most hardworking young band currently on the UK circuit, The Molotovs have performed close to 200 gigs since forming in mid-2020 and show no signs of stopping with a steady flow of sharp, punchy originals merging with iconic covers from the 60's to present day. Guitarist/songwriter/lead vocalist Mathew Cartlidge delivers with a swagger reminiscent of the late Wilko-meets-young Weller, whilst bassist/backing vocalist Issey Carts bops and struts in pure rock-chick, Debbie Harryesque style. Drummer Ice Dob drives the beat home with a ferocity Moon undoubtedly smiles down upon.
Described by Pete Doherty as "fucking ace!" after they ended 2021 on a high supporting The Libertines on their Giddy Up A Ding-Dong tour, The Molotovs certainly appear to be on the rock radar; crowd spotted and name checked by Billie-Joe Armstrong in front of 90,000 people at London Stadium in summer 2022 and looking forward to joining The Vapors on their 2023 UK tour.
Excitement around The Molotovs continues to grow with their promising future of leading the next generation of British rock stars. Catch them as they proudly make their debut in Ireland at The Grand Social.

Tung in Cheek
Tung in Cheek are a four-man Indie Rock band from Dublin, Ireland. Their music introspectively explores themes such as the lost direction and hazy lifestyle of youth in Irish society. Their sound is portrayed through psychedelic guitar licks and swells, punk-infused drum and bass influences and mellow jagged vocals. The band formed with members split between North and South Dublin with Andy Burke (vocals and guitar), Eoin O’Shea (lead guitar), Gavin Dunne (bass) and Chris Brady (drums)
Tung in Cheek (TIC) have had their most successful year of gigs in 2022, including sold-out headline shows in Dublin, Cork and London. They have also had several other shows around prominent Dublin, Galway and Wicklow venues. This has included a headline Halloween show at the award-winning 26 Leake St in London. Venues performed in this year include Whelans, The Sound House, The Bernard Shaw, The Harbour Bar, The Loft, Fred Zeppelins, The Workmans Club, The Shacklewell Arms, MAP Studio Café, Fibber Maggees and The Old Dispensary. TIC also featured at 2021 Ireland Music week and in 2022 featured with the internationally renowned Breaking Sound Dublin showcase at the Grand Social. The band have shared the stage with many other emerging Irish artists such as Big Sleep, Fizzy Orange, Floorshow, Scustin, Under Starling, Carron and Rachel Grace, as well as British acts such as The Molotovs and Duck Wax.
