Founded via social media in early 2017, Danny Byrne (Lead Guitar) got together with Rhythm Guitarist Derek Cervi and Stefan Donoghue (Drums). Robbie Tomkins joined off the back of a succesful stint with his first band, Atticus. After an unsteady and inconsistent run of bass players, Stefan Donoghue introduced multi-instrumentalist Ian 'Doobie' Downey to the band at their stomping ground 'Loop Studios' at a lane behind the Acadmey Venue (hence the band name, Academy Lane). After a memorable rehearsal Ian joined on bass and has been playing ever since.
